Amazing Chinese Healing Practices

April 29th, 2010 by Arlan Murata

Alternative wellness practices that have helped me and that I’ve seen heal others. Wellness has many alternatives to the slash and burn generally practiced in the Western Medical World of surgery and drugs that are not solutions, in my opinion. Here are some videos and website to explain and demonstrate some alternative solutions.

Dr. Shao-Bin Zhang, Professor of T.C.M. of Guangzhau, China and a Licensed Acupuncturist practicing in Southern Caliornia brought me back to wellness. The Western Doctors could not even tell my why I had dizzy and cold sweat spells that sent me to ER multiple times. They performed many tests and concluded that they did not know what the problem was wrong. Seeking a solution I had Dr. Zhang examine and treat me with herbs, acupuncture and few other TCM methods. He examined and asked questions about my wellness. He made the dizziness and cold sweat disappear after 60 days. On a coma patient I referred to Dr. Zhang, that the hospital doctors advised the family that the patient would never regain consciousness. Dr. Zhang woke her up and helped her recover enough to walk and get on a plane to return to her home in Hong Kong. Dr Zhang has many cases of healing like this that the Western Medical World would not believe.

Master Shen Wu has many testimonial from patients he treated at The Walt Disney Memorial Cancer Institute that were terminally ill. Here is Master Shen Wu’s website that explains and provides testimonials from patients of Master Wu’s Musical Qi Gong  http://bit.ly/c0orSn

Dr. Yee-Wing Tong’s Neuro-BioEngergetic is discussed and shown on his website. The the many testimonials of healing are amazing. These are from patients that had struggled and endured the endless useless procedures recommended by doctors and insurance companies that simply did not work. See and hear from them http://bit.ly/d5WxC1

Master Zhou Ting-Jue (QiGong ) Demonstrates his amazing healing powers http://bit.ly/bVtjo1

These Chinese medicine practioners have been healing thousands of patients given up by the Western Medical World as hopeless cases. They have many testimonials that would amaze and make you cry as the caregiver of patients given up on by the Western Medical World.  I do not close my mind to Western Medical World as they too have done wonders for millions of patients, but I do question them. The one thing that is hard to understand is why after performing live saving surgery, the Western Doctor does not counsel and teach the patients how to keep themselves well. My point is that there are alternatives to healing. I do not intent to tell the world that Eastern Medical Practices are better than Western Medical Practice.

There are many clinics in America that are wonderful like the Pritikin Longevity Center in Southern California.  The Pritikin Program involves:

  1. An eating plan based on natural whole foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, seafood, and limited lean meat;
  2. Daily exercise, and
  3. Lifestyle education that focuses on practical real-world training such as reading food labels and cooking healthfully and deliciously, as well as skills for stepping around stress and achieving an emotionally nourishing outlook.

The Pritikn Program has been shown to reverse heart disease, control diabetes, control hypertension, and improve both men and women’s overall health.

There is good in both medical worlds, just have an open mind. The Pritikin Longevity Center is also not mainstream Western Medical Practice as point number 3 is sorely lacking in most of the Western Medical Practices.

April 25th, 2010 by Arlan Murata

Wellness is an active live-long process of working toward enhancing our physical, intellectual, emotional, social, financial, spiritual, and environmental well-being. I consider physical well-being includes our body, intellectual, emotional and spiritual. Financial wellness is our social, environmental and financial well-being. They will be subcategories of Wellness and posts will be made accordingly.

PHYSICAL WELLNESS

Your body is a wonderful and amazing being that GOD created. As you were created, life   should be a wonderful and exciting experience because of a vibrant functioning body. Treat it well and allow the body’s magnificent healing power to work as it should.

Your body consist of mind, body and soul. As Pogo said, “We have met the enemy, and he is us.”  You are responsible to exercise and feed your mind, body and soul.  A mind full of worry, hate, bitterness, jealousy, loneliness, regret and fear; a body full of fats, and grease, refined sugars, white flour and starches; a liver filled with alcohol, caffeine, colas, and chemicals; lungs filled with carbon monoxide, exhaust and toxic fumes can not and will not deliver wellness and health. Only when we accept responsibility for our own physical, mental and spiritual health will we be well.

“Wholesome nourishment of the physical body, daily exercise and nourishment of the mind and soul are the key ingredients to vitality and long life. Above all, to renew the spirit by giving up mental anguish of hate, hurt, fear, anger, jealousy, worry, regret and bitterness to accept and embrace love, understanding, hope and forgiveness is the real secret to recovery and wellness. You need to regain the faith, love and appreciation within yourself to trigger your body’s magnificent healing powers.” Ed Foreman
